Dimitrios Soudris

Dr. Dimitrios Soudris received his diploma and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Patras in 1987 and 1992, respectively. He worked as a Lecturer, Assistant and Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace for thirteen years from 1995 until 2008. Currently, he works as a Full Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. He has published more than 600 papers in international journals and conferences, holds two international patents.. Also, he is the author and editor of ten books Kluwer and Springer. He is Director of Microprocessor and Digital systems Lab (MicroLab). He is project coordinator and/or and principal investigator in numerous research & development projects (>65 ) funded by the European Commission, ENIAC-JU, European Space Agency, the Greek Government and the European and Greek Industry. His research interests are Hardware & Software Design of Embedded Systems, Reconfigurable Architectures (FPGAs), Edge Computing, Low Power Design of VLSI integrated circuits and Methodologies and Design of DSP applications. He is a member of IEEE, ACM and HiPEAC.

Ioannis Voyiatzis

Ioannis Voyiatzis received the BSc degree in Informatics, the MSc degree in Electronic Automation and the Ph.D. degree in Computing from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is a Professor and head of the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, of the University of West Attica, Greece. He is also director of the Computing and Embedded Systems Technology, Internet of Things and Optimization (CESIO) lab. He has authored more than 150 articles published in international scientific journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include dependability and security of digital systems, machine learning and AI algorithms, accelerator design for AI, secure and blockchain systems, IoT and computing on the edge and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones). He has participated in numerous projects funded by the European Union as well as the Greek government.

Paris Chrysos

Paris Chrysos is an Assistant Professor of “Management and Organization of Technology Intensive Enterprises” at the Department of Digital Industry Technologies, School of Sciences, University of Athens. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering (NTUA) and a PhD in Management Science. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to entrepreneurship and innovation, mainly in engineering and management schools in Greece and abroad. He was for several years co-organizer of a postgraduate program in innovative entrepreneurship implemented in cooperation with university institutions from three countries – France, Ireland, the Netherlands.

His research work analyses and models the industrial dynamics of innovation particularly in its early stages. He has authored two monographs related to innovation and new technologies, “Les Développeurs” (The Developers), 2015, and “Cubesats: Invading and Shaping the Space Industry” (2024).  He has also directed the collective work L’aventure épistémologique contemporaine (The Contemporary Epistemological Adventure, 2019). His work has been published in journals such as Natures, Sciences et Sociétés and First Monday, as well as in international conferences such as the NASA Academy of Aerospace Quality and the Open and User Innovation Conference.

Paris Chrysos served as vice president of the Industrial Property Organization and was a visiting researcher at the Center for Organization Research and Design at the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University. He represented Greece in OECD committees related to new technologies (semiconductors, quantum technologies). He has coordinated research projects and conferences on entrepreneurship and the development of new technologies in France and Greece and has contributed to the design of indicators and national statistics on the digital transformation of Greek enterprises.

Gregory Doumenis

Since 2011 Dr. Doumenis is assistant professor at the dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications of University of Ioannina (former dept. of Computer Engineering of the Technological Institute of Epirus); he teaches courses on “Digital signal processing”, “Embedded systems”, “Entrepreneurship and innovation” and “Autonomous sensor networks”. He is directing the “Autonomous Systems” laboratory (ASL), towards research in embedded systems, Internet of Things, energy efficiency and scavenging, autonomous navigation of smart objects. Dr. Doumenis is co-author of more than 30 research papers published in widely accepted scientific magazines or international conferences and has applied for two national and two international patents. He has been invited to review papers for highly recognised journals such as IEEE’s Micro and Communications letters and Elsevier’s Integration VLSI journal. He is a regular reviewer and evaluator of EU backed RTD proposals and projects.
