Paris Chrysos
Paris Chrysos is an Assistant Professor of “Management and Organization of Technology Intensive Enterprises” at the Department of Digital Industry Technologies, School of Sciences, University of Athens. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering (NTUA) and a PhD in Management Science. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to entrepreneurship and innovation, mainly in engineering and management schools in Greece and abroad. He was for several years co-organizer of a postgraduate program in innovative entrepreneurship implemented in cooperation with university institutions from three countries – France, Ireland, the Netherlands.
His research work analyses and models the industrial dynamics of innovation particularly in its early stages. He has authored two monographs related to innovation and new technologies, “Les Développeurs” (The Developers), 2015, and “Cubesats: Invading and Shaping the Space Industry” (2024). He has also directed the collective work L’aventure épistémologique contemporaine (The Contemporary Epistemological Adventure, 2019). His work has been published in journals such as Natures, Sciences et Sociétés and First Monday, as well as in international conferences such as the NASA Academy of Aerospace Quality and the Open and User Innovation Conference.
Paris Chrysos served as vice president of the Industrial Property Organization and was a visiting researcher at the Center for Organization Research and Design at the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University. He represented Greece in OECD committees related to new technologies (semiconductors, quantum technologies). He has coordinated research projects and conferences on entrepreneurship and the development of new technologies in France and Greece and has contributed to the design of indicators and national statistics on the digital transformation of Greek enterprises.
